Friday evening we headed up to Cambridge, got a cab to Phil and Ral's place, changed quickly, then walked down to Cambridge College, one of the 31 colleges which make up Cambridge University.

The whole ball was completely different (and better) than I expected. No sit down formal tables, no predefined formalities - just a formal social really. Dinner involved help yourself all you can eat finger snacks and drinks were all you can drink (literally I guess).

The theme of the ball was the 7 deadly sins, with each room, hall or area being a different sin. Sloth was the island with hubbly pipes, lust was the dance room, greed was the food area, etc. The night went all 'til the early hours of the morning, and to finish all, we headed down to the river with the guitar and chilled there til the sun came up.

After no sleep really, we spent the day in the town of Cambridge, in and around the various colleges.

Such a beautiful town, and even more incredible were the buildings of the university. Would almost make me want to go back to student life in a town like that :) That afternoon, we went punting down the river and got to see the town from the river's angle. With little to no sleep, I decided to head back home last night and use all of today to catch up of well needed rest and sleep.
