It's probably been over a year since I last played squash and really have missed playing it, so the other day JP and myself decided to try book a lunch time court over at the Britannia Leisure Centre next to Shoreditch Park and have a game up there. At least he hadn't played in a while either, so it hopefully wasn't going to be too single-sided.

At lunch time, we hopped on the bikes (John on his and I borrowed Syd's) and cycled up to the Leisure Centre. We managed to finish in a draw - both on 2 sets each and a forfeit in the last game... our legs just couldn't handle it. Will need to work on that fitness again! But good to be back in the court again, hopefully can attempt a re-match next week.

Today at work we had our 'integration' social with Yammer downstairs. We figured since we were both tech companies sharing the same building, it could be useful to meet up and do a bit of knowledge sharing. So after a presentation by them and then one by us, we all got to help ourselves to some pizza and beer in between the foosball and ping pong competitions, which I think they clearly won hands down. However, it was really good to play foosball again and reckon I may need to make a few lunch time or after work visits down to Bar Kick to get my skill levels back up.

After a good afternoon down in their offices, no one seemed to be heading out after work and I called it a day and made my way home. I had planned to have an easy night in tonight with the plan to get up fairly early tomorrow morning and out on the old mountain bike. Here's hoping the weather holds for the bank holiday weekend!
