This past weekend we spent out in Pembury (near Tunbridge Wells) in Kent, in a cosy farmhouse cottage for a couple of nights. We had booked it in ages ago, and had hoped we'd be able to go with all the current restrictions, so rather glad we were able to get there for a nice weekend break. We left home on Friday afternoon and arrived there just on sunset, checked-in and settled down for the evening.

On Saturday morning we took a walk down to the nearby woods, and in the afternoon decided to drive into Tunbridge Wells to see the lights and possible a bit of a stroll around. We headed into Calverley Grounds and noticed a sign for tickets for Santa's Grotto and thought that would be our best (and only) chance for Ellen to meet Santa. Even though it was a very social-distance and Covid-safe Grotto, it was still better than nothing, and missy got to "meet" Santa and tell him about the black unicorn she wants for Christmas :)

Then yesterday, after packing up and checking-out, we drove over to Cinderhill Wood which wasn't too far from the house for a nice leisurely walk around there.

After our walk around the woods, we headed over to Tonbridge to grab some lunch in the car, and then made our way back to London, getting home around mid afternoon.
